Taking the Wheel: The Journey

An 8-week programme for women who are ready to drive their own lives.

* * *

You have been capable, reliable, and holding everything together for a very long time.

This is your invitation to do something for yourself.

I’m ready. Save my place. Next course begins [TBC]
Limited to 10 women

Can I ask you something honest?

When did you last make a decision that was simply, completely yours? Not the sensible one. Not the one that kept the peace. Not the one everyone expected. Yours.

If you had to think about it — this is for you.

Most of the women I work with are not struggling in obvious ways. They are managing. Functioning. Getting things done. But somewhere underneath all the capable, competent, keeping-everything-together — they have lost the thread back to themselves.

They are not passengers by choice. They drifted there. One reasonable compromise at a time.

Taking the Wheel: The Journey is the programme I built for that woman. It is eight weeks of the most honest, practical, warmly held inner work you will do. Not to fix you — you are not broken. To help you find your way back to the wheel.

The road ahead doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be yours.

This programme is for you if…

This programme is not for you if…

What you will experience

This is not a course where you watch videos and fill in worksheets alone. It is a live, guided, eight-week journey with a small group of women and a facilitator who knows this road — because she has driven every mile of it.

Your Weekly Pack — released every Monday

Each week you receive a themed pack including the week’s focus and reflection material, workbook exercises drawn from the Taking the Wheel book, your word of the week, a daily PAUSE practice, and seven daily WhatsApp prompts — one question every morning to keep you moving between sessions.

The Wednesday Live Session — 90 minutes on Zoom

Every Wednesday evening we meet live. Not for a lecture. For the work. Each session is built around a practical, experiential exercise — the kind that only happens in a room with other women who are doing the same honest work. A Choosing Positivity card is pulled at every session. Every session closes with your Empowered Next Step.

The Journey Map — your personal road atlas

In Week 1 you complete the Journey Map — a powerful tool that uses the P.A.U.S.E. Process™ to rate seven areas of your life honestly and discover exactly where you are starting from. In Week 8 you rate it again. The difference between those two maps is the evidence of your own transformation.

A Thursday Journal Prompt — sent within 24 hours of every live session

Within 24 hours of every Wednesday session, you receive a journalling prompt to help you integrate what happened in the room. This is where the work moves from your head into your life.

The Taking the Wheel Workbook — yours to keep

All enrolled participants receive the Taking the Wheel companion workbook — twenty chapters of reflection exercises, writing spaces, and inner navigation tools — as part of the programme. It becomes your personal record of the journey and a resource you will return to long after the eight weeks end.

Eight weeks. Seven roads. One journey.

Each week of the programme is mapped to one of the seven roads from your Journey Map, and to a theme from the Taking the Wheel book. The live session each Wednesday goes deeper into the week’s theme through a practical exercise you would not do alone.

Your Journey Map

At the heart of this programme is a tool unlike anything you will have used before.

The Journey Map uses Evelyn’s signature P.A.U.S.E. Process™ to help you look honestly at seven areas of your life — not with judgement, but with curiosity. You rate each road, give it a word, ask what it would say if it could speak, and discover what it needs from you.

In Week 1, you complete it as a starting point. In Week 8, you complete it again. The difference between those two maps is the most tangible evidence of what eight weeks of honest, consistent inner work can do.

The Seven Roads

The Joy Road

When did you last do something purely because it made you happy?

The Purpose Path

Are you living your purpose or performing someone else’s?

The Soul Summit

How well do you know your own inner landscape?

The Foundation Road

What are you building your life on, and is it solid?

The Vitality Trail

How is your energy? Really?

The Heart Bridge

Including the relationship you have with yourself

The Harbour

Does where you are support who you are becoming?

Your guide for the journey

I want to tell you something about how I came to build this programme.

I did not arrive at this work through a textbook. I arrived through my own life — through a childhood that taught me what it felt like to be at the mercy of other people’s choices, through nine years of living boldly abroad, through love found and lost and found again, through a cancer diagnosis I chose to face entirely on my own terms, and through the slow, surprising discovery of gifts I never expected to have.

Every tool in this programme — the Journey Map, the P.A.U.S.E. Process™, the reflection questions, the live session exercises — grew out of fifteen years of sitting with real women in real difficulty and watching what actually shifted things.

I am not going to tell you what to do. I am going to ask you the questions that help you hear your own answers. I am going to hold a space that is honest, warm, and occasionally makes you laugh when you least expect it. And I am never going to doubt, for a single moment, that you are capable of finding your way.

Because I have seen it happen, again and again, in rooms just like this one.

Your investment

Taking the Wheel: The Journey is a small, intentional group programme. Places are limited to 10 women per course to ensure every participant receives the attention, space, and depth that this work deserves.

Your investment includes all eight weeks of content, all eight live sessions, the Journey Map, the P.A.U.S.E. Process™ guide, the Taking the Wheel Workbook, daily WhatsApp prompts, and post-session journal prompts throughout the programme.

If you attend the first two weeks and do not feel this programme is right for you, contact me and we will discuss your options. I want every woman in this room to be exactly where she needs to be.

Questions you might have

Not at all. The programme is designed to work whether you have read the book or not. If you have read it, the course gives you a structured way to go deeper into the material. If you haven’t, the programme is entirely self-contained. The workbook is included in your enrolment, so you will have everything you need.

Life happens. If you miss a session, a recording will be available for [X] weeks so you can catch up in your own time. That said, the live sessions are where the deepest work happens — they are not something you want to miss regularly. If you know in advance that you cannot commit to the majority of Wednesday evenings, this cohort may not be the right time for you.

No. This is coaching — which means we are working with where you are now and where you want to go, not unpacking the past in a clinical sense. If you are currently experiencing significant mental health challenges, I would encourage you to seek professional therapeutic support. This programme works best as a complement to, not a replacement for, that kind of care.

The weekly pack takes approximately 30–45 minutes to read and work through. The daily WhatsApp prompt takes about one minute. The Wednesday live session is 90 minutes. The Thursday journal prompt is optional but recommended — about 20–30 minutes. In total, expect to spend around three to four hours per week on the programme, including the live session.

Sessions run on Wednesday evenings at [TIME] South African Standard Time (SAST). If you are in a different time zone, please check the equivalent time before enrolling.

One-on-one soul coaching is available separately. If you are unsure whether the group programme or individual coaching is right for you, feel free to reach out before enrolling and we can have a brief conversation.

You have been reading this page for a reason.

Something brought you here. Maybe it was the book. Maybe it was a conversation. Maybe it was that quiet voice you have been half-hearing for a while that says: something needs to change.

Whatever it was — that is enough of a reason to begin.

You do not need to have it all figured out. You only need to be willing to pay attention.

The next course of Taking the Wheel: The Journey begins

Ten women. Eight weeks. One road.

I’m ready to take the wheel.

Enrol now and receive your Journey Map and workbook immediately.

Kind words

From beautiful souls who’ve walked beside me.

“I came into this programme thinking I needed to sort out my career. Eight weeks later I realised I needed to sort out my relationship with myself first. Evelyn held the space for both without judgement, and I left knowing exactly who I am and where I am going.”

“The Journey Map alone was worth the entire programme. Seeing all seven areas of my life laid out honestly in front of me — and then seeing how much had shifted by Week 8 — was one of the most powerful experiences I have had.”

“I have done a lot of personal development work over the years. This was different. Evelyn doesn’t just teach the tools — she lives them. That makes all the difference.”
