One day I’m feeling fit and healthy and the next

One day I’m feeling fit and healthy and the next I am dealing with the news that I have Colon Cancer.
Hearing this diagnosis sent the whole family into a spin.
It was a lot to process.
What kept me sane was the fact that I believe the reason we are here on earth is to experience life and if the universe was directing me in this direction then I would continue to be lead with a positive mind.
I’m not saying it’s been easy. There have been plenty of tears and some days I cry because it’s like my body is overflowing with emotion and needs to offload. I have been fortunate enough to have a GP who acted fast, a Specialist Surgeon who was determined to “fix me” and a tribe of unbelievably special humans, in the form of family and friends, who have kept my spirits up every minute of every day. 💙 The cancer is out. Chemo has been recommended, as a preventative measure, but I’m not sure I’m going to go that route. There are many different forms of treatment which I am going to consider.
I have had a major operation on my abdomen which means I am forced to take time out to heal. If you are 45+ and haven’t been for a colonoscopy please add it to your yearly checks. As my oncologist says, us women are good at having mammograms and pap smears but never get our colon checked. It’s important. Please take my advice and get one done - just to put your mind at rest. Colon cancer is extremely common. I am relieved I acted fast and listened to my body or who knows what position I would be in now. I will be back sharing tips and tricks to cope with life, but for the moment it’s time to focus on my healing and recovery. Sending lots of love to you all. 🥰

As human beings every decision and action we make is either from a place of fear 😖 or one of love. ❤️ I believe that! 👏🏼
I’ve spent so many years being a ‘do-er’, but not anymore! I am determined to stop being ruled by my mind and trust the universe that things happen in perfect timing. ⏰
An example of this is…..
I felt pressurised into doing another journal, but I didn’t want to do it just because I felt I had to. That would have been the ‘old me’.
Instead I left it and thought ‘one day I am going to be ready’.
It has been 18 months since my special gratitude journal was released and finally I feel ready to put a bigger and better journal together. 😏
I’ve even decided that this one is going to be a Women’s positive journal. And I’m excited about it, which, to me, means it’s coming from a place of love. 💓
It feels right and it’s amazing how everything just flows when you stop pushing and trust. Is there something in your life that you’re doing or pushing for and it doesn’t feel quite right? 😥 Maybe it’s time to let go and trust that when the time is right it will happen.
